Created in association with leading gaming studios and Web3 brands, the ‘GameWave Genesis’ hackathon will run until September 13, and challenge budding developers to create interoperable gaming experiences on the Oasys blockchain, as they compete for a share in a massive $42k prize pool.
Lending their vast experience, gaming giant, Ubisoft, and Web3 native platforms, ChainGuardians, AAG, and Adventure Gold DAO have all set their individual challenges. Each designed to help elevate gaming experiences on the Oasys blockchain and set into motion the wheels of genuine innovative change.

Huge Prizes Await the Best Performing Projects
To sweeten the deal, the GameWave Genesis Hackathon has prepared a huge $42k prize pool for those who catch the attention of the judges. As a result, Oasys and AWS will award the top 3 performers with $15k, $10k and $5k respectively. While the supporting gaming firms will offer additional prizes based on the following criteria.
- Ubisoft – $3000 for the best entry that either focuses on interoperability in its Champions Tactics title, or interoperability in Web3 as a whole
- AAG – $3000 for increasing the utility of its TomoOne NFTs
- ChainGuardians – $3000 for demonstrating a creative or educational use of Oasys’ layer 2 blockchain, and incorporating interoperable NFTs
- Adventure Gold DAO – $3000 for creating an autonomous world or dApp for its platform
Despite the individual nature of the prizes, each entry can span multiple categories as long as it fulfils the required criteria. Oasys will take the event finale to Ethereum Singapore 2023 and TOKEN2049, the most talked-about crypto conference in Asia, where it will showcase the results for all to see!

How to Take Part in the GameWave genesis Hackathon on Oasys
Anyone who thinks they have what it takes to participate in the GameWave genesis hackathon can register their interest via the Dorahacks website. Effectively, cementing their status in the project by completing the associated application form. Those taking the plunge, however, should take note that they must submit their entries by September 5. After which, Oasys and its collaborators will announce the finalists on September 8, ahead of the demo day on September 13.
So, its time to get creating as Oasys and AWS invite the brightest minds in the world to participate in the GameWave Genesis Hackathon!
