‘Phantom Galaxies’ Early Access Lifts Off on Epic Games

Today, Animoca Brands’ subsidiary, Blowfish Studios, released its thrilling, free-to-play mecha combat game, ‘Phantom Galaxies‘, on the Epic Games Store and its official website. Additionally, a version devoid of Web3 elements just launched on the online gaming platform Steam.

The early access period, expected to span around a year, enables players to delve into an intriguing, immersive, Sci-Fi-centric storyline for several hours, with multiplayer bounties, player-versus-player battles, and additional content updates along the way.

The Rise of the Rangers

Upon entering Phantom Galaxies, players will find themselves merged into the role of a Ranger: a tactful mecha pilot responsible for guarding human colonies on the outskirts of the galaxy. Four mecha classes are available — ‘Lancer’, ‘Assault’, ‘Breacher’ and ‘Buster’ — each boasting the ability to alternate between ‘Humanoid’ and ‘Starfighter’ forms.

The narrative of the game propels players into battles with diverse groups spanning across planetary and space surfaces. To enhance the chances of success, players can customize their capabilities through a variety of equipment, including weapons and parts.

Although the game currently represents a fraction of what the complete version will offer, players can now enjoy a distinct, fun, and engaging experience and anticipate further intriguing developments down the pipeline.

Phantom Galaxies’ Web3 Empowerment

Owing to being backed by Animoca Brands, Phantom Galaxies leverages blockchain technology to issue players genuine ownership of the in-game digital assets ‘Avatars’, ‘Starfighters’, and expansive properties like ‘Personal Quarters’, ‘Hangars’, and ‘Planets’, available on marketplaces.

All digital assets are acquirable using the game’s native currency $ASTRAFER, which players can accumulate by trading items, completing missions, partaking in special events, and managing their asteroids and planets.

As Phantom Galaxies evolves in the same hub of celebrated Web3 games like Illuvium, Gods Unchained, Blankos Block Party, and famous Web2 games such as Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto, it serves as a shining example of innovation.

Now is the time for gaming lovers to bolster their gaming experiences through control and actual ownership over their digital collectibles and destinies within Phantom Galaxies’ captivating ecosystem on Epic Games and beyond.
