Images from the last photoshoot of the iconic rock-grunge band, Nirvana, are the latest NFTs to join the celebrity NFT family. Photographer Jesse Frohman, who photographed the last-ever photoshoot with Kurt Cobain, has launched a website to sell the collection dubbed “The Last Session.” The photoshoot took place in July 1993 and features some of the most popular photos of Cobain wearing white-rimmed sunglasses.
The complete collection will be sold as one NFT and it includes some never-before seen images of Kurt Cobain and over 100 images from Cobain’s final shoot. The auction starts on May 3rd at 12:00PM ET and runs until May 7th at 6:00PM ET. The starting bid is 27.27 ETH (the age at which Cobain died), which is approximately $74,000 USD at the moment.
There will also be 10, 1 out of 1 “Nevermind” edition NFTs with a starting bid of 2.7 ETH and 20 NFTs with 5 editions each which will be sold for 1 ETH. A portion of the proceeds will be donated by Frohman to the Jed Foundation, a non-profit organization that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for teens and young adults in the United States.
