Ever wondered what are the top most expensive NFTs ever sold? Below is a list of some of the top artists and the most exclusive NFTs in the space, which have become iconic pieces in the CryptoArt scene.

• The Merge by Pak – $91.8M

The Merge, a digital artwork created by anonymous artist Pak, sold for $91.8 million on Nifty Gateway on December 6, 2021. However, the artwork was not sold as one piece; it was fractionalized into 312,686 pieces and distributed to 28,983 buyers. 

• Everydays by Beeple – $69.3M

Everydays: The First 5000 Days by Beeple is the top most expensive NFT artwork sold in one piece. To date, the sale is considered one of the most significant moments for NFTs, as it sold in March 2021 when NFTs were just picking up. The artwork was auctioned by Christie’s and bought by crypto investor and NFT enthusiast, MetaKovan. 

• Human One by Beeple – $29.98M

Beeple once again takes up one of the top spots with the sale of The Human One for $29.98 million. Crypto billionaire Ryan Zurrer purchased it in December 2021. The artwork shows a dynamic, life-generative sculpture created by Beeple

• CryptoPunks by Larva Labs – $11.75M & $7.58M

CryptoPunks #7523 and #3100 were sold for $11.75 million and $7.58 million respectively. Both are considered to be rare Punks. CryptoPunks is an NFT collection by Larva Labs, consisting of 10,000 Punks. It is considered to be the OG of NFT projects.

• Right-Click and Save As Guy by Xcopy – 7.09M

Right-click and Save As Guy was sold on the NFT art platform SuperRare in December 2021 to collector Comozo de Medici (who claims to actually be Snoop Dogg). Xcopy is a London-based CryptoArtist, and he created the artwork as a mockery of those who think right-clicking and saving an art piece is the same as buying an NFT.
