In a world where AI is reshaping industries, the fashion landscape is no exception. Fashion enthusiast Colby Mugrabi is debuting the clothing line Mmerch next year, fusing AI and blockchain technologies to offer one-of-a-kind, tech-savvy hoodies. 

Mmerch will feature 960 limited-edition hoodies with six key components (body, pockets, hoods, bands and two sleeves), ten contrasting prints (camouflage, stripes, etc.), and two materials (cashmere or French terry).

All of these fashion items will be crafted through the use of generative algorithms, each distinctively connected to non-fungible collectibles and granting access to a physical version for everyday attire. 

Unwrapping Mmerch’s NFT-Infused Hoodies

Similar to PFP collectibles, like CryptoPunks and the Bored Ape Yacht Club, each NFT has varying rarities, ensuring that all Mmerch fashion line items are unique. Some colors and prints will appear less than others, bringing in a sense of exclusivity and desirability, boosting the hoodie’s worth as a consequence. 

Each hoodie comes equipped with a QR code, provided by fashion-tech firm Eon, that acts as the gateway to an NFC chip. By embedding the chip’s soul-bound tokens into the garment, buyers have their very own digital identities Additionally, they can access the clothing item’s manufacturing information, including traceability and sustainability.

The core ambition of Mugrabi’s clothing series is to give fashion items extra value that extends beyond the point of purchase, setting a high standard during a time when economies of scale confine conventional manufacturing workflows. The designer calls this concept “neo-couture”, representing distinctive products that combine the scalability and speed of fast fashion.

Acquiring the Tech-Savvy Attire 

For those interested in acquiring one of these unique limited edition hoodies, an NFT drop for acquirement will take place next year, targeting fashion enthusiasts and NFT art collectors alike. Although, specific launch details currently remain under wraps.

Notably, when the NFTs are acquired, their designs will unveil before holders are granted a limited timeframe in which they can claim the tangible version of their hoodie.  

Mmerch’s innovative approach to fashion through leveraging AI and Web3 makes the future of fashion look increasingly personalized, sustainable, and digitally connected.

Nike and RTFKT have unboxed an exclusive opportunity for its existing NFT holders, kickstarting wearable Dunk Genesis sneakers with digital ownership and NFT counterparts as of October 18-30.

NFT owners can snatch up to five pairs of the physical Dunk Genesis sneakers in three distinct colors for $222 each. These varied sneaker models include Dunk Genesis ‘OG’, Dunk Genesis ‘Void’ and Dunk Genesis ‘Clone X’. Once redeeming the shoes for real-world wear, the digital counterparts will remain in the owners’ virtual wallets, maintaining an ever-lasting replica of the fashionwear. The tangible versions will be sent through the post starting June 2024.

For those wanting to get their hands on a pair of these stylish sneakers who don’t own a Nike x RTFKT NFT, one of these editions will be available to the general public at ComplexCon — an “expertly-curated festival of the future,” taking place at Long Beach, California, November 19-20.

Adidas Originals and Moncler are embarking on an innovative fashion line that goes above and beyond co-creation. Fusing both renowned brands’ creative inspirations, the ‘The Art of Explorers’ campaign combines “AI-generated adventures” with unusual-looking mixed-media sculptures, bringing fashion to the virtual realm through attire with NFT counterparts and a tech-savvy platform.

The brands’ artistic journey exceeds the limits of the physical realm to an alluring, immersive digital experience combining sound, video and 3D animation on moncler.com. Website visitors can check out the new collection’s summit-to-city themes, unlocking limited-edition fashion products that are explorable and purchasable through digital billboards over time.

Attracting newcomers to the immersive journey, an NFT version of the Moncler x Adidas Originals NMD boot, alongside other attractive fashion items, will be available through the revolutionary platform — and the Adidas Confirmed app — starting October 4.

Fashion lovers with a preference for in-person experiences can physically check out the jointly crafted apparel line in select Adidas and Moncler stores the following day (October 5).

A Continuation from London Fashion Week

The Art of Explorers campaign extends from ‘The Art of Genius’ show, which initially debuted during the London Fashion Week in February. A team of artists from numerous fields, spanning from costume and sculpture design to make-up artists, embraced the task of creating avatar-inspired figures with human-like attributes for the two fashion powerhouses.

The talents behind the campaign included the sculptures Ibby Njoya, Gary Card, and Kate Tabor, with the attire crafted by Ai Kamoshita and make-up and accessories by Isamaya Ffrench. The photographer Hanna Moon brought the collection to life, giving event attendees a glimpse into what’s in store for Adidas x Moncler’s exciting new forward-thinking endeavor. 

The collection spotlighted long and short puffers, track jackets, vests and bold footwear. A mix of vibrant traffic light-themed colors brings the fashion wear to life, with more subtle attire in concrete-grey, sky blue, off-white, and organic dark green also being a part of the mix. 

“I was inspired by the collection itself, but I wanted to bring myself into the sculpture. I really loved the way the neck of the puffer was very prominent and almost looked to me like rings. I have always been fascinated by the copper neck rings from the Ndebele tribe and the Kayan tribe, how by extending the neck can place such importance to the head itself,” commented Njoya on Adidas’ blog post. 

Notably, in the Web3 sphere, Adidas already has an existing NFT art residency program, BAPE phygital collectibles and more. Moncler’s blockchain-based stance, on the other hand, includes gifting NFTs to platinum buyers of Moncler Maya 70 jackets.

The Adidas x Moncler line further presents the brands’ dedication to pioneering unique creations in this limitless digital age, hitting new pinnacles with unique, collaborative advancements.

Fusing fashion and crypto art yet again, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is stylishly teaming up with the pioneering Japanese streetwear brand, A Bathing Ape (BAPE), to premiere its highly anticipated streetwear clothing line at the Hong Kong ApeFest, running from November 3-5.

BAYC’s Reputation in the Fashion Scene

BAYC, with a trading volume generating nearly $3 billion, is no stranger to the fashion world. In September 2021, Adidas purchased BAYC #8774 for $156,000. BAYC’s fashion stance doesn’t end there. The luxury fashion house, Gucci, collaborated with BAYC in March 2023 to explore new possibilities in the Web3 sphere. Celebrated rappers Snoop Dogg and Eminem have also utilized their own Bored Ape collectibles to feature on official merchandise and spin-off endeavors via IP commercialization rights. Notably, other celebrities owning BAYC NFTs include Paris Hilton, Neymar and Justin Bieber.

Luxury Italian watchmaker, Panerai, has announced that it will secure all future timepieces with a digital NFT passport. As a result, it will record the finer details of each high-quality device, as well as maintain its digital identity, and provide proof of ownership.

Starting from October 3, the noble and historic chronograph specialist will begin issuing NFTs alongside each purchase. Essentially, using the technology in a practical and useful way to maintain the security and ownership of its product. Once launched, buyers will then be able to claim the NFT at the point of purchase, or scan a QR code located on the items warranty card.

Alongside the obvious advantages, the Panerai digital NFT passport will also imbue additional benefits on owners. For starters, claiming the token will immediately extend the international warranty on the product, while the company has also hinted at future benefits for holders later down the line.

In order to facilitate its new move, Panerai has partnered with Web3 consumer and engagement platform, Arianee. Essentially, using its significant experience and knowledge to further enhance its brand, and engage with customers on a whole new level.

Diesel is granting access to 300 guests at the Milan Fashion Week show on September 20 through its latest NFT release, available now for $60 a pop!

These NFTs are held on the Polkadot and Polygon blockchains, allowing users to choose their preferred blockchain ecosystem.

The primary perk of owning one of these Metamorph NFTs includes exclusive access to the fashion brand’s upcoming Spring 2024 collection at Milan Fashion Week, and for holders to join the ranks of buyers, editors, and influencers in attendance.
